Conflicting Treatments Are a Constant Concern
Even my regular doctors don’t remember my history off the top of their heads. How could they possibly? Too much information has built up over many years. It’s up to me to be constantly vigilant.
When you have to list all of your medical conditions its like having to remember a shopping list. As I list them, I have to mentally check them off to ensure I’ve covered them all. But like a shopping list, you are bound to forget something. Only it can have more serious impacts if you forget to tell them some critical aspects of your health history.
How do you communicate your health history to Multiple Doctors?
Have you noticed that during a Doctor appointment people are required to have at hand relevant health records, prescriptions, lists of medication and copies of results, and wondered how they were providing this to the clinicians?
Usually if you see a new doctor, you have to complete a new patient form. What do you do when you get the to the preexisting conditions section.
This is a problem if you have a chronic illness and you have a long list of information that you will need to provide if you want to ensure that the doctor has the necessary information for them to make an informed decision on your diagnosis. So how do you do this. In the past many people have tried to hand write in what they can fit and then try and communicate the rest in an appointment. Other people are more organised and bring with them a list which they ask the receptionist to photocopy and say see attached list.
If you have come to the consult with a manilla folder of your health history, it will be also difficult to summarise and effectively communicate.

Healthtech company Wanngi’s CEO Maree Beare has noticed that during a video consultation people are required to have at hand relevant health records, prescriptions, lists of medication and copies of results, and wondered how they were providing this information to the clinicians on the telehealth consultation. She noted that there is currently no easy way for people to provide their health history.
